Instead of using a switch-case statement to find out what kind of error has just happened, split error handling logic into multiple labels and jump right into the appropriate label to do the error handling. This way it is easier to follow different code paths. It also looks easy on the eyes. Additionally silences the following coccinelle warning: drivers/staging/lustre/lustre/obdecho/echo_client.c:762:22-27: ERROR: ed is NULL but dereferenced. In client_common_fill_super() proc entries are created before before cl_sb_init() and therefore lu_site is not allocated resulting in client crash when tried reading lu_site stats. Delaying creation of proc entries after creation of all required data structures fixed the problem. If an error occurs when initializing a HSM request, in ll_ioc_copy_start(), the PROGRESS message, sent to coordinator, should carry the error code but also HP_FLAG_COMPLETED to mark the request as finished (with error). If not, the Coordinator will ignore this message and consider the request is still running.
